Will Calvin Abueva can finally play again in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)?
On Instagram, Phoenix interim coach Topex Robinson posted a photo of him and Abueva inside a vehicle. He wrote “Northbound” on the caption, Tuesday, September 29.
Abueva himself also posted a photo of him on his Instagram account and wrote in the caption “Waiting [for] the signal.”
The PBA is set to resume the All-Filipino Cup in a bubble in Clark, Pampanga, Abueva’s hometown.
According to sources of Spin.ph, Abueva had a meeting with PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial on Tuesday, with the possibility of lifting the indefinite suspension of The Beast before the PBA bubble restart on October 11.
Based on Coach Topex’s post, the Phoenix Fuel Masters ready Abueva to the Clark Freeport bubble once he’s given the go-signal to play.
