Syrian Vlogger gives hygiene kits to less fortunate Filipinos vs COVID-19

Syrian YouTube Vlogger Basel gave free hygiene kits to less fortunate Filipinos in Metro Manila on Friday, March 14.

Basel, known as The Hungry Syrian Wanderer, repacked free hygiene kits, which include hand sanitizers, soap, and Vitamin C. Also, he gave free alcohol to the public hospitals and surgical and N95 masks for the medical staffs who also need protection against the Coronavirus.

A month ago, before the Coronavirus gets too serious in the Philippines, Basel already gave alcohol to the street sweepers, traffic enforcers, and those who can’t afford or pricey for them.

“Shoutout to all people in the frontline, especially doctors treating patients,… I have one brother, he’s a doctor in France, I have my sister, she’s working in a big hospital in Saudi Arabia. They all work in the medical field.” he said in a vlog post.

“We might be at home trying to avoid the virus but these people nurses doctors people who work at hospitals they have no time to rest because they have to work so hard”, he gives as a reminder.

“I want to send a special message also to my brother in France and my sister in Saudi … they are all at medical fields you know I don’t know what happened to me I’m the Doctor of Hope so my part in here is to spread awareness at least here in the Philippines…”, he added. He also emphasized that he didn’t hoard the medical supplies that he gave for free.

Below is the transcript of his post on Facebook:

To my beloved Filipinos, (pampa GOOD VIBES)

Instead of posting negativities, spreading fake news to cause panic, blaming each other at kung ano ano pa.

We are better than this guys, PREVENTION IS THE KEY gaya ng pinauso ng iba na “pm is the key” bakit hindi nalang natin ipalaganap ang importansya ng hygiene instead.
