Baifern Pimchanok to voice the Thai version of 'Mulan'

Thai star Baifern Pimchanok (Pimchanok “Baifern” Leuwisetpaiboon) is confirmed to be the voice of the live-action movie ‘Mulan’. Disney released photos of Baifern with headphones on while dubbing the much-awaited movie. The actress will be the voice of the lead character ‘Mulan’, portrayed by Chinese actress Liu Yifei (Crystal Liu).

The remake of the 1988 animated Disney movie is directed by Niki Caro, written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin. In light of the Coronavirus concerns, there will be a delay in the release of Mulan from its March 27 original date.

Baifern became popular in the Philippines for her lead role “Nam” in the adorable romantic comedy movie “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” with co-star Mario Maurer.

According to Guru Magazine by Bangkok Post, Baifern and Mario Maurer will reunite after one decade in a movie titled “Laser Candy”. The movie is described as “a modern love story set in the near future where an AI building is powered by human feelings. Due to a software glitch, it falls in love with a real girl, escapes the building into the body of a real man and tries to win her affections.”

“Laser Candy” is written by Philip Gelatt (Netflix’s Love Death & Robots) and directed by Stephan Zlotescu. There’s no release date announced so far.
