There is no waste in art. A creative vendor proves this saying in his own kind of action figures of movie and cartoon characters from recycled materials.
Adrian Soriano Bernabe found himself part of the impressed crowd in the market of Imus, Cavite looking to the art figures of Elmer Padilla.
“Habang naglalakad ako napansin ko si kuya pinaguumpukan ng mga tao sa imus PMI clinic sa palangke po ng imus.Guys ang galing ni kuya hangang hanga ang mga taong nakapaligid sa kanyang mga gawa. Sa pamamagitan ng mga patapong tsenilas nakakabuo sya ng mga cartoon character na robot, TRANSFORMER,E vs P,Hellboy at may mga sarili Po syang composition na robot na walang gayahan. Sana po ito Yung WAY para mapansin at makilala si kuya.”
He then posted photos of Elmer’s works in Guhit Pilipinas Facebook group, which immediately captured the interests of the netizens. The photos are reposted by FB page Trending News and Viral that gives more exposure to the wider audience.
“Taga Samar raw Po sya CATBALOGAN SAMAR at ngayon nangungupahan sa binakayan Cavite sa kalye unse nakipagsapalaran lang sya dito sa Cavite para magtrabaho bilang constraction worker Elmer Padilla Po name nya.Nakaka amaze talaga talent nya sa pagbuo ng mga cartoon character ang galing nya mahirap Po ginagawa nya para ibenta ang mga gawa nya.Sana matulungan nating mapansin at makilala ng marami si kuya Elmer.”

Elmer creates superhero toys from movies like Deadpool, Hellboy, Predator, and Transformers along with his own character compositions using rubber scraps from slippers that are not going to be used.
Elmer is originally from Catbalogan, Samar. Aside from selling his action figure creations, he pushes his luck by working as a construction worker in Binakayan, Cavite.
